Mission Statement
Phi Delta Epsilon International Medical Fraternity creates physicians of integrity with a lifelong commitment to our guiding principles of philanthropy, deity, and equity through fellowship, service, mentoring, scholarship, and formal training in leadership, science, and ethics.
Who are we?
We are the NY Theta Chapter of the Phi Delta Epsilon International Medical Fraternity.
Founded in 2007, our objectives have been to provide knowledge, experience and advice for those students planning to enter the medical field. The organization will bring together selected pre-medical students in order to broaden their awareness of the medical field through activities, which can only be performed through an organization of people with common medical interests. Ultimately, the most important objective of Phi Delta Epsilon is to promote brotherhood and sisterhood among its members, as well as to implement a professional mentality and discipline. We are a family of diverse backgrounds and interests, and we persevere together in the pursuit of making an impact in and around our communities.
What do we do?
Phi Delta Epsilon is tasked with molding professional, dependable, and compassionate future doctors of the world.
To that end, PhiDE supports various charities through our philanthropic outreach, organizes professional workshops to continuously strengthen our member’s professionalism, and enriches our undergraduate experiences through doctor panels and guest lectures. Among other things, Phi Delta Epsilon maintains close relationships with professors and many of NYU faculty in an effort to promote academic collaboration and thus providing our members with invaluable resources and opportunities. We also aid in financially supporting our members through scholarships and discounts. We believe in Facta Non Verba, deeds not words and we supplement our future doctors with the tools to be physicians of integrity and honor.
